The New Golden Mile is the coastal stretch from Estepona towards San Pedro and Marbella. It pairs long sandy beaches with golf just inland, and because much of it is still being built, the homes are newer and the prices keener than on Marbella’s original Golden Mile.
Estepona’s old town and Puerto Banús are each about ten to fifteen minutes away. It suits second-home buyers and investors who want a modern home near the sea without Marbella-centre prices.
Most new developments are gated communities of apartments and townhouses, with a smaller number of villa projects. Beachfront commands a premium; golf-side offers more space for the money.
